Weather Shuts Down Roads And Outdoor Concerts

It's not a great day to be driving around the Sierra. Truckee CHP is reporting the closure of Eastbound I-80 near Drum Forebay due to heavy snow and multiple accidents. 

Chains are required from Donner Lake to Nyack.

The valley isn't much of a picnic for drivers either. In Folsom all traffic is slow as a result of the Amgen bicycle tour and the Downtown Sacramento Partnership cancelled tonight's Concerts In The Park because of the weather. The show was rescheduled for August 5.
