(AP) — Hillary Clinton has had a big advantage among Hispanic voters, but Bernie Sanders' campaign isn't conceding anything going into the important California primary on June 7.
By some estimates, Hispanics could make up as many as 2 in 10 voters in the state — one of several to vote early next month in what amounts to the finale of the 2016 primary season.
California is seen as a Clinton stronghold. So a come-from-behind win for Sanders would end the former first lady's primary campaign with a thud. And Sanders could cite a victory to bolster his argument that he's the party's best chance to defeat Republican Donald Trump in November.
The California contest has taken on new urgency after Clinton's shaky performance this month.
