Another brewery might be opening soon in Midtown Sacramento.
Rocklin-based Black Vinyl Ale Project is looking at opening a spot on 26th Street, near the current site of the B Street Theatre.
The Sacramento Business Journal's Managing Editor of Digital News Christopher Arns says breweries are booming.
"We tracked state data," Arns says, "and it showed a 150 percent increase in beer production in the local four county area between November 2014 and September 2015, that's the range that we had to use because there's a lag in data from the state. So that number might even be higher at this point."
Recent additions to the surge in beer businesses include: Sactown Union in East Sacramento, Claimstake in Rancho Cordova, Flatland in Elk Grove and Three Mile in Davis.
