UPDATE 5:30 p.m.: Officials say the Stevenson fire in South Sacramento burned a total of 13.2 acres Tuesday afternoon.
There were no injuries reported. A fire investigator is at the scene.
UPDATE 4:20 p.m.: Crews have knocked down a grass fire that was threatening homes in South Sacramento Tuesday.
The fire was contained to 6.5 acres, according to the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District.
There were 10 to 15 homes threatened and reports of nine fences and yards damaged in the area.

The fire was reported shortly after 3 p.m. in the 7900 block of Stevenson Avenue.
According to officials, crews are engaged in structural defense.
