UPDATE: 2:59 p.m.: Mandatory evacuations will be lifted at about 3:30 p.m.
Officials say the fire has been largely contained.
Original Post: Crews are battling a grass fire in Vacaville Friday afternoon. Air attacks are underway and mandatory evacuations are in place.
The Oak Fire is around 30 acres. As of 2:16 p.m., Cal Fire says forward spread has been stopped.
According to Vacaville Police, the following areas are still under mandatory evacuations:
- Grandview Drive off Alamo
- Hillsdale Ct and portions of El Camino Drive nearest hills.
The Three Oaks Community Center has been designated as a safe site and the Red Cross and Salvation Army have been asked to help.
