UPDATE 7:19 p.m.: According to Cal Fire, the Cold Fire in Yolo county is now 4,600 acres and 10% contained, with difficult access presenting an ongoing challenge.
UPDATE 9:36 a.m.: Officials says the Cold Fire in Yolo County has jumped to 4,000 acres.
The blaze is only 5 percent contained.
Original Post: Authorities say a wildfire burning near Lake Berryessa in Yolo County has grown to 2,200 acres.
The Cold Fire is burning west of Winters, off of Highway 128 in grass and oak woodlands. Mandatory evacuations are in effect for Canyon Creek Resort and Golden Bear Estates.
And there's a road closure on Highway 128 from the Monticello Dam to Pleasants Valley Road. Five hundred firefighters have been deployed.
The fire is 5 percent contained.
