The first annual Farm Tank event in Sacramento ends today, but it is not the end of Farm to Fork month.
Today attendees are on field trips to local farms and agriculture businesses.
Presentations include agriculture working with the environment, education and career paths for children, and the role of food hubs for areas that have little access to fresh produce.
There are also chef demo stages.
The event is hosted by the City of Sacramento and UC Davis.
Tomorrow, the Farm to Fork festival will be held on Capitol Mall east of the Tower Bridge. There will be three dozen wineries, four live bands, and three demonstration stages.
Placer County growers will be handing out 400 pounds of apples.
