Thousands of people will be in downtown Sacramento Tuesday night for the Paul McCartney concert at the new arena. The city has some tips on how to get there.
The City of Sacramento has launched a new website called GetHereSac.com. It provides information about parking access, traffic and mass transit information.
"There's a lot of resources out there for citizens to be able to use and we realize that it can be a little overwhelming for some," says Carlos Eliason with the city manager's office. "And that's why we wanted to try and get it all in one place and make it really easy and friendly for people to consume."
The city hopes local businesses will spread the word about the site as it works to disperse traffic impacts from the new Golden 1 Center.
"We've got several resources to light rail, Amtrak, alternate modes of transit as well as some bike information for preferred bike routes, bike parking, even bike valet for those larger events," says Eliason. "There's also links to reserving parking."
