(AP) - Officials are recounting the ballots in a Nevada Assembly race that the Democrat appears to have won by 38 votes.
The Washoe County Registrar of Voters is expected to recount ballots in Assembly District 31, where more than 30,000 votes were cast in the close legislative race. Officials already identified one precinct where 75 absentee ballots were scanned twice.
The recount is expected to wrap up on Wednesday.
Democrat Skip Daly is 38 votes ahead of incumbent Republican Assemblywoman Jill Dickman in unofficial results, and Dickman requested the recount on Friday. The contest was the only legislative race that was too close for The Associated Press to call.
Daly previously served two terms in the seat before Dickman unseated him in the 2014 election.
