The Sacramento Sheriff’s Department is investigating the death of a man who was found with multiple gunshot wounds in South Sacramento early Monday morning.
According to a department statement, deputies responded to a 9-1-1 call shortly before 4:00 a.m. Monday reporting a man on the street in the area of 43rd Ave. and Franklin Blvd. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Residents in the area told the sheriff’s department they had heard multiple gunshots just before 4:00 a.m.
As of Monday afternoon the department did not have a suspect. The name of the victim has not been released.
