Crocker Art Museum’s Noon Year’s Eve (10 a.m.-2 p.m.)
If you can’t wait until midnight, then Crocker Art Museum’s Noon Year’s Eve —now a local end-of-year tradition— may just be the perfect celebration for you to start the day off. This free event will feature live music, dance performances and other art-inspired activities throughout the museum. Once the party is over, the museum will be open for free to the public until 5 p.m. on the same day.

17th Annual Sky Spectacular in Old Sac (6 p.m.-midnight)
Leave it to Old Sacramento to ring in the new year with one of the region’s biggest celebrations of the night. At this free event, there will be two pyrotechnic spectaculars, live entertainment, balloon artists and face painters for the kids, as well as other treats for attendees’ families and friends. The activities will begin at 6 p.m. A 13-minute fireworks show will begin at 9 p.m. and a different 7-minute show will light up at sky at midnight.

New Year's Eve 2017 at Topgolf Roseville (9-1 p.m.)
You can take a swing into 2017 at Topgolf Roseville where there will be live entertainment, a chef-inspired menu and plenty of other music and dancing activities. Reserve a regular six-person bay for $225 or a VIP bay, with the same capacity, for $450 that overlooks the neon-lit golf course.

New Year's Eve River Cruises at Hornblower Cruises and Events (8:30 p.m.)
This relaxing one-hour cruise ride under the Tower and I Street bridges will take attendees along the Sacramento River as the noises of music and champagne glasses clinking in the background fill the air. The boat will make a stop nearby Old Sacramento by 9 p.m. for the area’s 17th Annual Sky Spectacular fireworks show.

NYE Midtown Mountain Get Down at MARRS (7 p.m.-2 a.m.)
At this year’s New Year’s Eve Midtown Mountain Get Down of This Is Midtown, partygoers of all ages can enjoy live musical performances, a fashion show, a beer garden and food. Simultaneously, Lowbrau is hosting its annual Lodge celebration where suds and champagne will be flowing until 2 a.m. New Year’s Day.

New Year's Eve Celebration at Thunder Valley Casino Resort (7:30 p.m.)
Test out your year-end luck at Thunder Valley Casino Resort on New Year’s Eve and listen to the Kool and the Gang regal the audience with performances of its funk and R&B hits from the 70s and 80s. The casino will also host it’s Countdown to 2017 party in the Illusion Ultra Lounge where attendees can dance the night away with music provided by DJs from 107.9FM The End radio station.

2016's Last Laughs at Punch Line Comedy Club (7:30 p.m. or 10 p.m. show)

New Year's Eve with Mustache Harbor at Harlow's (10 p.m.)
Harlow’s is offering nostalgia at its Dec. 31 show with performances from San Francisco-based soft rock band Mustache Harbor, whose appearance and musical style resemble legendary musicians like Christopher Cross, Steely Dan and Kenny Loggins. Partygoers can join them by singing along to the memorable hits or knocking back drinks at the bar.

New Year’s Eve Party at the Hyatt Regency Hotel
The Hyatt Regency Sacramento Hotel is hosting this year’s biggest NYE celebration with offers like overnight guest room accommodations, musical performances from local musicians Quinn Hedges and Ryan Hernandez, as well as a dance ballroom with music from DJ Rated R and headliner Nunchuck Taylor.
