Plumas County Sheriff's deputies will soon be better equipped to save lives thanks to a donation.
CareFlight is donating four Automated External Defibrillators as part of an effort to make Quincy a Heart-Safe Community.
The non-profit provides air ambulance transport services from five locations in northeastern California and northern Nevada.
The organization will also provide CPR and AED training to employees of the sheriff’s office so that they can deliver life-saving treatment to cardiac arrest victims.
CareFlight is working with the Plumas County Hospital and the Plumas County Health Department to place more AEDs in the community.
