(AP) - As Donald Trump takes the oath of office in Washington, many people in California who vowed to fight him will be out in the streets and plazas protesting.
Marches and rallies are planned Friday from downtown Los Angeles to the Golden Gate Bridge to the state Capitol.
California has become the center of anti-Trump country since the November election, when Hillary Clinton overwhelmingly won the state.
Sixteen members of the state's Congressional delegation have said they will not attend Trump's inauguration.
Protesters plan to march through San Francisco's Financial District in the morning. Others plan to link hands across the Golden Gate.
In Los Angeles, immigrant-rights groups will lead a pair of marches.
And a coalition of groups will hold an afternoon march to the Capitol building in Sacramento.
