A teacher in the Natomas Unified School District has been arrested on sexual misconduct charges. Scott MacMillan, a teacher at Heron School, faces counts of attempted possession of obscene matter of a minor and photographing a person under their clothing. Heron is a kindergarten through eighth grade school.
Police say the 44-year-old MacMillan used his cell phone to take inappropriate pictures of a female student underneath a table while in the classroom. Police say during an analysis of MacMillan's phone, detectives found photos of minors and adults that appeared to be taken without their knowledge.
The Police Department is urging anyone who may have been in contact with MacMillan or may be a victim, to contact them.
MacMillan was suspended by the school district on December 22nd when allegations were first brought forward by students.
