The Yolo County District Attorney's office has announced the arrest of the father of Baby Justice. The 19-day old infant was left to die in a field near Knights Landing two years ago by his mom.
Frank Rees is facing charges of involuntary manslaughter, child abuse and administering a controlled substance. The D.A. will release more details during a news conference this morning and explain why Rees wasn't arrested earlier.
Baby Justice's mom, Samantha Green, was convicted last year of murder and sentenced in December to 15 years to life in prison. She was reported missing along with Baby Justice in February of 2015. She was found in a field without her child the next afternoon. The baby's body would be found the following day in a brushy area.
Green's attorney claimed during her trial that Rees injected her with large amounts of methamphetamine in the days leading up to Baby Justice's death, contributing to her psychotic state.
