UPDATE 3/6/17 8:00 a.m.: Loose cows caused road delays on Jackson Highway near Sunrise Boulevard Monday. Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District Headquarters reported one non-injury vehicle accident.
Meanwhile, Caltrans says Interstate 80 eastbound toward Colfax, by the Highway 20 at Nevada City and the westbound state line by Donner Summit are closed to all vehicles because of zero visibility. There is no current estimated time of opening.

UPDATE 3/4/2017 2:16 p.m.: The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch effective Saturday afternoon through Monday afternoon for some areas along the southern San Joaquin River.
The agency says elevated releases from local dams are causing the river to swell, with high water levels causing some flooding in low lying areas north of Grayson into the south delta.
San Joaquin County officials and NWS warn that levee conditions remain a concern, and are asking residents to be ready to act quickly should conditions deteriorate.
