If you're going to be driving in Downtown Sacramento this weekend, you may have to take a detour. J Street will be closed between 5th and 7th streets starting Friday at 8 p.m. through Sunday night at 9 p.m.
Work crews will take apart and haul away one of the huge cranes at a hotel construction site near the Golden 1 Center. The Sacramento Kings are urging people who are coming to Golden 1 for basketball games Friday and Saturday night to avoid the J Street offramps from Interstate 5 and to take mass transit or ride-share.
