The Sacramento Sheriff’s department says a 32-year-old woman who ran her car into the Sacramento County Main Jail’s lobby doors early Saturday morning was arrested at the scene. The jail’s lobby doors face I street between 6th and 7th streets downtown.
The department says nobody was injured, and the suspect is now in custody for felony vandalism. Her identity has not yet been released.
As a result of the incident, the department says visitation to the jail will be suspended until further notice. Visitation availability will be update here.
