The California Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal incident this weekend where one of its officers backed over a person on Interstate 80 near the Nevada state line.
The CHP says the victim was a charter bus driver who had stopped at a crash scene to help.
It happened Saturday night around eight o'clock.
The driver was taken to Reno with major injuries, and pronounced dead at about one Sunday morning.
