(AP) - Constituents who say U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein isn't doing enough to battle President Donald Trump interrupted the California Democrat's appearance at a town hall with boos and jeers.
The
Mercury News reports that the majority of people at Monday's forum seemed supportive of Feinstein and greeted her with applause.
But angry constituents also yelled "you're a sell-out" and "stand up." At one point, a barking dog joined in.
Trump critics have filled town halls across the country to push members of Congress to fight the Republican president on his tax returns, health care and other issues.
Feinstein tried to stress that she was just one senator out of 100, and was in the minority party of her chamber.
The event was held at San Francisco's Scottish Rite Masonic Center.
