The City of Sacramento has released its proposed budget for the next fiscal year. The spending plan totals $1.3 billion.
Sacramento City Manager Howard Chan says revenues are projected to be $30 million more than anticipated in the General Fund. Some of the money in the proposed budget would go to outfitting Sacramento police officers with body worn cameras, increasing the number of jobs at parks, completing the building of two fire stations, and adding staff in Code Enforcement to address abandoned vehicles.
