There may be an outbreak of norovirus in Yolo County. Health officials are checking out suspected cases at UC Davis, and K-12 schools in Woodland and West Sacramento.
A Yolo County spokeswoman says they're still gathering information to confirm the illness, often referred to as stomach flu, is the result of norovirus. Earlier this week three schools in Elverta in northern Sacramento County were closed for a deep cleaning due to a suspected norovirus outbreak.
The schools in Yolo County are undergoing a deep cleaning and are scheduled to reopen on Monday.
