Yolo County health officials say the Norovirus outbreak has now infected almost 2,500 people, but appears to be slowing down. Still, schools are seeing a lot of absences.
Kumari Hudson-Bates, a second-grade teacher at Sci-Tech Academy in Knights Landing, missed school due to the virus. She says four of her 25 students are currently absent.

Sacramento's school district reported Wednesday that 29 students and staff appeared to have Norovirus symptoms.

Health officials are reminding people with the virus to stay away from work or school for 48 hours after symptoms have subsided, because they are still contagious during this period.
