Detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of a gas station worker that happened Tuesday night in South Sacramento.
The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department says the 911 call came in around 10:30 P.M. about gunfire at a Chevron station in the 8400 block of Florin Road.
When deputies got there, they found the gas station worker, a 20-year-old man, on the ground suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The department says the suspects, three Hispanic men, had a verbal altercation in the parking lot with another gas station employee who went inside the store to call 911. His co-worker went outside and that's when one of the suspects fired several shots at the victim.
