Evacuations orders are in place for the Ponderosa Fire burning in Butte County near Oroville.
The fire started Tuesday afternoon at about 1 p.m. and swelled to 1,000 acres by Tuesday evening.
There is an immediate evacuation order those living along Ponderosa Way and portions of Lumpkin Road.
An evacuation center has been set up at the Church of the Nazarene in Oroville.
