A forum on homelessness will be held tomorrow in Sacramento with the focus on a shelter plan announced earlier this week. The event is billed as a "subversive" special forum and only those who live on the street will be allowed to speak.
Organizers have invited local politicians to the forum, titled "Unhomed, Voices of the Unheard," but they won't be to speak. Those behind the forum say that rule is in response to an event held earlier in which the homeless were silenced.
The forum is scheduled from noon until 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Latino Center on Front Street.
