A Stockton mother who lost her son to gun violence is asking his friends to help solve his murder.
Twenty year old Brandon Harrison was a father of two young boys, a college student, and a counselor with Fathers and Families of San Joaquin who reached out to youth to turn them away from crime.
Lecia Harrison says Brandon's friends witnessed his killing on October 15 as he was leaving a birthday party, but so far, no one has come forward.
“Some of them attended Brandon’s funeral and offered condolences. Their words were empty because they haven’t done the right thing and told the police what they know. Brandon must be so hurt and disappointed by their actions,” Lecia Harrison said.
“Do the right thing, stop living in fear and silence. Speak up, stop allowing gun violence to be the norm for this community. I for one refuse to live in fear and there will be justice for Brandon.”
Harrison was the 41st of 52 homicides this year in Stockton.
