The Associated Press has called the District 10 race for Democrat Josh Harder, leaving only two California congressional races — Districts 39 and 45 — undecided.
Original story:
It's been one week since Californians cast their votes in the 2018 Midterm Elections. While Democrats have taken control of the House of Representatives, there are still a few key races undecided in the Golden State.
All three seats had been held by Republicans, and were targeted by Democrats in their quest to retake the House (you can learn more about all these races in our Keys to the House podcast).
Political data analyst Paul Mitchell says Republicans could fall behind in these tight races, because it's likely that many of the conservative votes have already been counted.
"Those older, more conservative voters vote early," Mitchell said on the most recent Keys to the House episode, breaking down Election Night results. "Their ballots are actually counted earlier. The first ballots that get reported on election night are the essentially more heavily homeowner, more conservative portion of the electorate."
Here are where the three races currently stand. These results will update as new votes come in.
