Photographer John Muheim was snapping images from Sacramento’s music scene long before the Golden 1 Center or Ace of Spades attracted sold-out crowds. This month, he’ll share images from shows and scenes decades ago — recalling local venues like the defunct punk hangout Club Minimal and the once-thriving Memorial Auditorium — during a special exhibit at the Warehouse Artist Lofts. Muheim recently spoke to CapRadio’s Nick Miller about his show. Click play above to listen.
Muheim’s exhibit opens on Friday, Jan. 4, at 6 p.m. inside WAL’s marketplace, 1108 R Street.
