New Sacramento Collaboration Beer Debuts For ‘Local Beer Weekend’

Craft brewers throughout the Sacramento region are gearing up to serve a new beer — one they all had a hand in creating.

It's called The High Road, a West Coast style IPA brewed at Fort Rock Brewing in Rancho Cordova.

Heidi Wilder with Fort Rock says collaborations are good for the industry. "Obviously, Resilience, everybody's kind of familiar with what Sierra Nevada did for the Camp Fire and so why not take that idea and kind of make it our own for the area guild,” she said.

The Sacramento Craft Brewers Guild organized this effort and says its members will create a new beer up to four times each year.

The High Road IPA will debut at several locations over the next few days, as part of the first ever local beer weekend.
