Sacramento Police have arrested a male juvenile who posted threats to local schools on social media.
An Instagram account posted several photos Monday night with statements that the user planned on either detonating explosives or shooting at several high schools within the city of Sacramento.
Following at least a hundred calls, police investigated — and detained a "person of interest" around 3 a.m. Tuesday before eventually arresting him for terrorist threats related to the incident. Authorities are not releasing the suspect's identity.
The investigation remains active, but detectives have determined that there is no credible threat based on this social media post.
Detectives say there is NO credible threat based on these social media posts ... and the Sacramento City Unified School District says it is safe for students to report to school Tuesday.
