Update: Sacramento County District Attorney Anne-Marie Schubert has announced there will be no charges filed against the officers who shot and killed Stephon Clark.
The Sacramento County District Attorney's office has said it will release the findings of its investigation into the death of Stephon Clark today at noon.
DA Anne-Marie Schubert will announce at a press conference the findings and whether or not she will file charges against the two officers who shot and killed Clark last March.
Stephon Clark was killed March 18 after Sacramento police responded to a 911 call of a man breaking car windows in the South Sacramento neighborhood of Meadowview. Two officers pursued Clark into a backyard — which they later learned was his grandmother’s home — where they shot him eight times. The officers said they believed Clark had a gun, but police only discovered a cell phone next to his body.
