Firefighters have made progress on containing a grass fire that began about 11:45 a.m. Friday near Grant Line Road and Keifer Boulevard between Sloughhouse and Folsom in Sacramento County.
As of 8 a.m. Sunday, the Grant Fire was 5,042 acres and 80 percent contained, according to Cal Fire. One outbuilding was damaged.
Evacuations have been lifted and roads have been reopened.
On Friday afternoon, the Prairie City State Vehicular Recreation Area was evacuated, and roads in the area were closed as firefighters fought the fast-moving blaze.
