A fire burning on Peavine Mountain northwest of Reno in Washoe County, Nevada, burned eight structures and prompted evacuations Saturday afternoon.
Evacuations have now been lifted, except at areas of Heindel Road and Meyers Avenue, according to Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue.
The fire, being called the Poeville Fire, was an estimated 3,000 acres as of Sunday afternoon.
An evacuation center has been set up at the Washoe County senior center off 9th Street and Wells Avenue.
