With Burning Man — a massive outdoor art experience in the Nevada desert — canceled due to COVID-19, Sacramento-area fans put on their own "contactless" event last week to fill the void.
The drive-through experience, called “Summer Spark," spanned the nights of July 24 and 25. More than 900 cars drove through the event, which took about 20 minutes for each vehicle, some going more than once. CapRadio Visual Journalist Andrew Nixon documented how the fans adapted the Burning Man experience to a nearby, socially-distant environment.
