Enoch Ku was close to giving up photography. That was when he took a different look at his city.
"This realization came over me that being a photographer is about capturing moments," he said. "You don't need to go to these far-off exotic locations or the top of the mountain to find a beautiful moment, they're just around you. They're going to happen."
Ku started taking everyday photos of his native Sacramento and posting them to his Instagram account, @OrdinarySacramento. The account now has nearly 3,000 followers from all over the world.
"It's interesting because I got to interact with people a lot from Europe," Ku said. "They've sent messages or I've talked to them and they're like, 'I want to visit Sacramento now, because of your photos.' "
CapRadio Visual Journalist Andrew Nixon spent a day with Ku and takes you into how the photographer captures his signature look.
