On Thursday evening, Sacramento State removed the forensic examination into CapRadio’s finances it published earlier this week.
The university contracted an independent accounting firm, Roseville-based CliftonLarsonAllen, to conduct the examination last fall and write the summary of its findings that would be released to the public.
That 36 page summary — which was heavily redacted — was published Monday on Sac State’s website. But it was removed on Thursday evening. As of Friday morning at 10 a.m., it had not been reuploaded.
“CliftonLarsonAllen is making corrections and clarifications to the forensic examination of Capital Public Radio,” a message on Sac State’s website reads, dated Thursday at 5:30 p.m. “An updated version will be posted as soon as it is available.”
Sac State spokesperson Brian Blomster said the report would be added back to the website “as soon as possible” but could not share at what specific time.
“Some clarification and correction is being done by CliftonLarsonAllen, and we await those updates,” he added.
When asked about the nature of the corrections needed, Blomster said “CLA is working to clarify the specific association an individual had with the board at the time addressed in the forensic exam.”
CapRadio reporters also asked CliftonLarsonAllen officials for specifics about the nature of the corrections but have not gotten a response as of publication time.
