Sacramentans will once again hear the sounds of heavy metal and rock music at Discovery Park as the 12th annual Aftershock Festival makes its return next weekend.
The four-day music festival is slated to run between Oct. 10 and 13 and will feature the biggest lineup the festival has seen since its inception in 2012.
Over 130 bands are scheduled to play this year, including Slayer, Slipknot, Iron Maiden, Mötley Crüe, Pantera, Evanescene, Five Finger Death Punch, Halestorm, Disturbed, Tech N9ne, Insane Clown Posse, Freshwater, Tom Morello, and much more.
The festival will also add a fifth stage this year. In addition to music, attendees can enjoy other festival experiences like photo booths, tattoo stalls (offering both real and airbrushed tattoos), food and beverage vendors and more.
“Get ready Sacramento,” Festival Promoter Danny Wimmer said in a press release. “This is the biggest Aftershock lineup we’ve ever curated, and the largest rock and metal festival ever put together in California.”
General Admission, single day, weekend and limited VIP tickets are still on sale.
