Celebrating Great American Composers

Americans celebrate lots of things on the 4th of July. We think music should be one of them, specifically music made in America.
That's why we're spotlighting American composers all day long. Copland, Barber, Gershwin, Bernstein, Sondheim, Still and Williams are among the familiar names you'll hear.
Plus we'll have newer works by Michael Daugherty, Jack Gallagher, Jennifer Higdon and Danny Elfman. More than 30 pieces in all, starting bright and earlier at 6 a.m. with host Kevin Doherty.
Join us this Independence Day as we celebrate America and American-made music!
