Today would have been Ennio Morricone's 92nd birthday! Morricone is responsible for over 500 film and TV scores and is best known for his work in the Spaghetti Western genre. Some of his more popular scores were to The Good, the Bad and the Ugly; A Fistful of Dollars; Once Upon a Time in the West; and more recently, Quentin Tarantino's The Hateful Eight for which the Italian composer won his first competitive Oscar in 2016. Morricone died in July of this year in Rome at the age of 91.
