As you gather with family and friends this holiday, know that CapRadio has the warm and inviting musical ambiance for your day. Your daytime classical hosts will be here for you from 6am to 5pm, with these special programs also on the bill:
9-10 am: Every Good Thing. Host Andrea Blain and classical music fans around the country take some time to give thanks and celebrate one of life's most meaningful gifts: music. An hour of stories and music to celebrate Thanksgiving.
2-2:30 pm: Midday Masterpiece. Franz Joseph Haydn's Symphony No. 83, "The Hen." Right at about the time the bird might be coming out of the oven enjoy the Haydn Symphony that's a clucking good time! Harry Christophers conducts the Handel & Haydn Society.
5-7 pm: Giving Thanks sounds the way Thanksgiving feels: inviting, warm, and festive. It’s a contemporary, thoughtful celebration of spirit of the holiday with music from Eric Whitacre, Bach, Copland and more.
Then for your after dinner musical digestif at 7pm, Avery Jeffry is your host for an evening of Excellence In Jazz to aid your digestion with a vibe sweeter than pumpkin pie.
Set an additional place for CapRadio Music. We promise not to argue politics.
