Frédéric Chopin at 25 (1835) by his fiancée Maria Wodzińska
Some critics who were contemporaries of Frédéric Chopin didn't care for his Piano Sonata #3. Franz Liszt didn't like it; others said it lacked focus, had too many themes and one even said the finale's passion ventured into indecency. But 20th century re-evaluations called it things like, "some of the finest music ever written for the piano." Come to your own conclusion when you listen to Chopin's 3rd and final piano sonata today at 2:00 pm for your Midday Masterpiece.
