Pianist Anastasia Injushina | photo: Stanislav Belyaevsky
When people in the late 18th Century said the name “Bach,” they were referring to the popular Bach at the time, Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, not his father Johann Sebastian Bach. Even Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven held him in high regard and collected his music. CPE Bach’s Keyboard Concerto #2, with piano soloist Anastasia Injushina performing with the Hamburg Camerata, is today’s Midday Masterpiece at 2:00 pm.
