Classical Music Playlist, April 12, 2022
After attending a performance of a Serenade for Winds by Mozart, Czech composer Antonín Dvořák completed his own wind Serenade in just a couple weeks, but in his own Czech musical accent. Dvořák’s friend Johannes Brahms (no less) would call this early work Dvořák’s greatest music to date. And that’s a great recommendation to YOU to listen to Dvořák’s Serenade for Winds today at 2:00pm for your Midday Masterpiece.
