Five recurring musical themes weave through the finale of Mozart's Symphony 41.
Mozart repeatedly weaves five recurring themes through the final moments of his final symphony. It’s an ingenious tapestry that’s been celebrated for over 200 years by fellow composers and music scholars. Titled the “Jupiter” Symphony by an impresario apparently intent on capitalizing on this grand scale of the finale, Mozart’s Symphony No. 41 is today’s Midday Masterpiece at 2:00 pm.
