Sergei Prokofiev | Color by Klimbim (Olga Shirnina) who grants free use.
Sergei Prokofiev’s ballet “Cinderella” is one of his most popular and tuneful works. It premiered in 1945 and in 1946 he assembled three suites of music from the ballet. The First Suite is a short overview of the ballet’s first two acts, with the Suite ending as the clock strikes midnight at the ball and Cinderella running out of the ballroom, dropping one of her slippers on the way. The Cinderella Suite No. 1 is today’s Midday Masterpiece at 2:00 pm.
