Felix Mendelssohn (1809-1847)
Felix Mendelssohn's Piano Trio in D-minor is recognized as one of his best and most popular chamber works. His contemporary, Robert Schumann (known equally as a music critic as a composer) called it "the master-trio of our time," comparing its potential for future admiration equal to Beethoven and Schubert. And Schumann called Mendelssohn, "the Mozart of the nineteenth century."
Felix Mendelssohn's 1839 Piano Trio in D-minor is today's Midday Masterpiece.
