Violinist Hilary Hahn | photo: O.J. Slaughter
Felix Mendelssohn’s 1844 Violin Concerto in e-minor was his last large orchestral work. Not only is it one of the most popular and frequently performed violin concertos of all time, it’s also regarded as an essential concerto for any serious violinist. The Mendelssohn e-minor Violin Concerto, with American violinist Hilary Hahn, is today’s Midday Masterpiece.
