Featuring jolly wassails, country dance-tunes and children's game-songs from Sixteenth-Century England; lilting Christmas carols and jaunty jigs and reels from Celtic Ireland; songs and anthems for Christmas, Saint Lucia's Day and the Feast of Saint Stephen from Nineteenth-Century Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland; a meditative Arabic prelude, a Christmas villancico (carol), and Sephardic Jewish Chanukah songs from Medieval Spain, all excerpted from live Christmas Revels stage productions presented around the country.
