Excellence in Jazz is celebrating the women of jazz all month during Women's History Month. Tonight we shine the spotlight on Japanese pianist Hiromi!
- Hiromi Uehara was born in Hamamatsu, Japan.
- She has played piano since age 6, was introduced to jazz at age 8and went on to study at the Berklee school of music under Ahmad Jamal.
- Uehara performed at the opening ceremony of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics
